Travis Kelce has made headlines once again as he shared his frustrations regarding the Kansas City Chiefs following their disappointing performance in the 2025 season. The star tight end”s comments came after the Chiefs suffered a 28-21 defeat to the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, effectively ending their winning streak.
In a candid discussion on his podcast, New Heights, Kelce highlighted his disappointment with the team”s overall performance this season. “I can”t say that I”m not frustrated,” he stated. “More from the entire start of the season than just this Bills game. There are games that I don”t think we had any business losing,” he added, reflecting on the team”s struggles.
Kelce noted that the Chiefs have lost every game this season by a single possession, with all four losses coming against teams currently in playoff contention. Additionally, only one of their five victories has been secured against a team with a winning record, raising concerns about the team”s competitiveness this year.
“We didn”t come out with our best punch against Buffalo. We got to find a way to clean all that up, man,” Kelce emphasized, urging the team to refocus and improve. The veteran player acknowledged the urgency for the Chiefs to regroup, stating, “We got to get back to playing passionate Chiefs football, dying for each other out there on the field.” He stressed that preparation during the week is crucial to ensure they are ready for game day, regardless of the schedule.
Kelce also pointed out the upcoming challenges, mentioning that the team faces a series of short weeks as the season progresses, particularly around Christmas. “We have a few games ahead of us where we”re going to have short weeks,” he explained. “That doesn”t matter; we need to hold ourselves accountable and make no excuses.”
With eight games remaining in the season, the Chiefs must quickly elevate their performance to keep their playoff hopes alive. The pressure is on as they strive to turn the tide in what has been a challenging season so far.
