Bay Area Sports Calendar Highlights Super Bowl Opening Night Events

The San Jose Convention Center will host the highly anticipated Super Bowl Opening Night at 5 PM on Monday. This event will set the stage for the Super Bowl festivities as fans gather to celebrate the upcoming championship.

On Monday, the sports calendar is packed with a variety of events. The Caribbean Series kicks off at noon with Puerto Rico facing off against the Dominican Republic on MLB Network. At 5 PM, Mexico (Red) will go head-to-head with Panama, also televised on MLB Network.

In basketball, the Unrivaled 3-on-3 tournament features matches starting at 4:30 PM, including Vinyl competing against Hive, followed by Mist taking on Laces at 5:45 PM, both airing on TNT and TruTV.

The men”s college basketball slate includes notable games such as Syracuse visiting North Carolina at 4 PM on ESPN and Boston University at Holy Cross, also at 4 PM on CBS Sports Network. Later in the evening, Kansas will travel to Texas Tech at 6 PM, featured on ESPN, while the women”s action starts with Boston University against Holy Cross at 1:30 PM and North Carolina at NC State at 3 PM on ESPN.

Golf enthusiasts can tune in at 2 PM for the TGL match between Atlanta and Jupiter on ESPN. Meanwhile, men”s college hockey fans can catch the Beanpot Tournament featuring Harvard against Boston College at 2 PM on NHL Network, followed by Northeastern facing Boston University at 5 PM.

The NBA schedule includes Minnesota visiting Memphis at 4:30 PM on NBC Sports Network, with Philadelphia playing at the L.A. Clippers at 7 PM, also broadcasted on NBC Sports Network.

As for the NFL, the Super Bowl Opening Night event kicks off at 5 PM on NFL Network, while the NHL features the Sharks taking on Chicago at 5:30 PM on NBC Sports.
