Columbus Crew to Rename Stadium ScottsMiracle-Gro Field Starting 2026

The Columbus Crew has announced that their stadium will undergo a name change starting in the 2026 season. This change is part of an expanded partnership with the Scotts Miracle-Gro Company, which will see the venue named ScottsMiracle-Gro Field.

Located in downtown Columbus, the stadium serves as the home ground for the Major League Soccer team and will host significant events in the coming years as part of a multi-year naming rights agreement, although the financial terms of this deal have not been disclosed.

This naming rights agreement builds on a partnership that has existed for over 15 years between the Crew and the Marysville-based lawn and garden products firm. ScottsMiracle-Gro has been the official lawn care and gardening partner for the team.

The Crew”s stadium, which opened in 2021 as a key feature of Astor Park, a mixed-use neighborhood, has seen remarkable attendance, hosting a record of 35 consecutive MLS regular season matches with capacity crowds from 2023 to 2025. The facility has also held prominent soccer events, such as the 2024 MLS All-Star Game, several matches featuring the U.S. Men”s National Team, and the 2024 SheBelieves Cup, in addition to various private events.

Mary Sherpo, President of Business Operations for the Columbus Crew, expressed pride in the new partnership, stating, “The Columbus Crew are proud to call ScottsMiracle-Gro Field our home beginning in 2026. Strengthened by our long-term partnership and local connection, ScottsMiracle-Gro and the Crew share a deep passion for our fans, our sport, and Central Ohio that perfectly reflects how we strive to represent our Club and our city through the global game.”

Nate Baxter, President and COO of ScottsMiracle-Gro, also highlighted the significance of this collaboration, saying, “The partnership aligns with our vision to bring people together through our iconic brands in their backyards, homes, and now at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field. We”re committed to attracting diverse consumers to our lawn and garden space, and ScottsMiracle-Gro Field helps deliver on this. Soccer is a multicultural, family-oriented sport whose popularity is surging among people of all ages.”

Previously known as Lower.com Field, the stadium will transition to its new name following a recent partnership deal that did not extend the naming rights to Lower.com.
