The Denver Broncos continued their impressive run, claiming their seventh consecutive victory with a 10-7 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. The decisive moment came in the third quarter when Wil Lutz successfully converted a 32-yard field goal.
On a blustery night in Denver, both teams struggled to maintain possession, combining for just over 400 total yards. The Raiders, now sitting at 2-7 following this defeat, initially took control of the game, with Ashton Jeanty scoring on a four-yard rush late in the first quarter.
However, the Broncos” defense responded effectively, managing to sack quarterback Geno Smith six times throughout the match. After a slow start, which saw them wait until their fifth possession to secure a first down, the Broncos equalized just before halftime. Quarterback Bo Nix connected with Troy Franklin for a seven-yard touchdown pass.
The second half was marked by defensive prowess, with only Lutz”s field goal registering on the scoreboard. This came after the Broncos successfully blocked a punt near the Raiders” end, setting up Lutz for the winning kick.
In a bid to tie the game, Raiders kicker Daniel Carlson attempted a 48-yard field goal but missed to the right. The Broncos then managed to run out the clock, solidifying their position with an 8-2 record this season.
