High school football regional finals scores and Saturday”s schedule

The CIF Southern California Regional football finals took place on Friday, delivering intense matchups and thrilling outcomes. The results from these games highlight the competitive spirit of high school football in the region.

In the Division 1 contest, Cathedral Catholic defeated Los Alamitos with a score of 42-21. Meanwhile, in Division 2, Bakersfield Christian edged out La Habra 24-21. The Division 3 final saw Ventura clinch victory over Arroyo Grande with a close score of 35-28.

Division 4 had Barstow narrowly defeating Reedley Immanuel, finishing 13-12. In Division 5, El Cajon Christian triumphed over Cerritos Valley Christian 27-13, while Valley Center secured a 30-13 win against Valley View in Division 6. Lastly, Woodbridge managed a shutout victory against San Fernando, ending the game 13-0 in Division 7.

Looking ahead to Saturday”s matchups, the schedule is packed with exciting games. In Division 1, Oxnard Pacifica will face Granite Hills at 7 PM. Division 2 features a game between Rio Hondo Prep and Santa Fe Christian at Carlsbad High School starting at 6 PM.

In Division 3, Delano Kennedy will compete against Carson, also at 6 PM. Division 4 pits Riverside Hillcrest against Beckman at Tustin High School at the same hour. The Division 5 clash will see Bishop Union take on South Gate, while San Diego Morse will meet Grace at Moorpark College in Division 6, both scheduled for 6 PM. Lastly, Santee will match up with South El Monte in Division 7, starting at 6 PM.

Furthermore, the CIF State Championships will feature an Open Division game between De La Salle and Santa Margarita, set for December 13 at 8 PM at Saddleback College.
