LOVB Houston Kicks Off Second Season with Local Star Power

The League One Volleyball Houston team is set to commence its second season with an exciting matchup against LOVB Salt Lake on Thursday night at the Berry Center. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., and the team has been eagerly preparing for this moment over the past several months.

Outside hitter Jordan Thompson expressed enthusiasm about the upcoming season, stating, “We are just so excited. The first season was incredibly enjoyable with this group, and we have had a lot of fun both on and off the court. We have welcomed some fantastic additions to the team, and it has been great to have everyone together recently. We are eager to continue building on our success.”

Setter Micha Hancock shared her thoughts regarding the significance of the opening match, saying, “We are focused on taking it one game at a time. The first match is crucial for setting the tone for the season. It will be important to shake off any nerves in the early points and maintain our connection as a team.”

Among the local talents on the roster is Logan Lednicky, a graduate of George Ranch High School who recently secured an NCAA National Championship with Texas A&M. Starting her professional career with her hometown team is a dream come true for her. Lednicky remarked, “It”s incredibly exciting to embark on this journey. There are so many amazing developments happening in my life right now. When I was playing at Skyline, there was no professional league, so I never imagined this opportunity. I love being able to share my story and inspire others that it”s possible for them too.”

Fans are encouraged to show their support as the team looks to build on last season”s momentum and showcase the remarkable local talent that Houston has to offer.
