Mica Mountain Secures Spot in High School Football Championship Game

In a thrilling display of high school football, Mica Mountain triumphed over Yuma Gila Ridge with a score of 31-3, earning a place in the 4A State Championship game. This victory was part of the series of semifinals held on Friday, November 28, where teams battled for a chance to compete for the state title.

The semifinals saw several exciting matchups across different divisions. In the 6A State Semifinals, Queen Creek Casteel defeated Salpointe Catholic 37-28, while Peoria Centennial bested ALA-Queen Creek 35-23. Meanwhile, in the 5A division, Scottsdale Desert Mountain narrowly edged Scottsdale Horizon with a score of 20-17, and Buckeye Canyon View overcame ALA-Gilbert North 34-24.

The 4A semifinals also featured Phoenix Arcadia, who secured a win against Waddell ALA-West Foothills with a score of 21-12, setting the stage for a championship clash with Mica Mountain. The championship game is scheduled to take place at Arizona State University in Tempe.
