Nebraska Shrine Bowl Football Rosters Unveiled for 2026 Game

The rosters for the 2026 Nebraska Shrine Bowl have been announced, showcasing many of the state”s premier senior high school football players. This highly anticipated game is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, at Cope Stadium, located on the campus of the University of Nebraska-Kearney.

The North team will be led by head coach Kameron Lenhardt from Bennington, while the South team will be guided by Jamie Opfer of Seward. Lenhardt”s coaching staff includes Kurt Altig from North Platte, Troy Schlueter of Arlington, Tony Kobza from Raymond Central, Jim Clarkson of Clarkson-Leigh, Zach Byrd from Fort Calhoun, and his assistant Brandon Mimick.

Among the players representing the North team is Charlie Swoboda from Bennington. The North roster also features notable talents such as Micah Arellano and Logan Holtmeyer, both of whom played for the Class A state runner-up team, Papillion-La Vista. Additionally, Connor Haney from Class C-2 runner-up Grand Island Central Catholic is included. Another standout, Ben Monheiser, contributed significantly to Sidney“s C-1 state title victory over Wahoo“s Harrison Krueger, and both will compete on the North team. Nathan Axmann and Gavin Ruskamp also earned their spots after being part of the Class B state champion Waverly squad.
