The NFL community is rallying around former New England Patriots running back Kevin Faulk following the unexpected death of his daughter, Tanasha Faulk, who passed away at the age of 30.
Tanasha died on Saturday, December 6, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center in Louisiana. While the cause of her death has not been disclosed, reports indicate that foul play is not suspected, according to The Advocate.
Her obituary highlights that family was the cornerstone of Tanasha”s life. “Being their mother brought her so much joy and she was immensely proud watching them grow and learn,” it stated. “Tanasha also found joy in holidays, birthdays, family gatherings, and especially Mardi Gras. She loved to cook and was happiest when preparing meals that brought people together. Her generosity, laughter, and loving nature created a sense of home wherever she went.”
This tragic event follows another devastating loss in the Faulk family. In September 2021, Kevin”s daughter, Kevione Faulk, also passed away unexpectedly at the age of 19.
Since the announcement of Tanasha”s death, heartfelt messages of support have flooded in from across the football world. “Keep Kevin Faulk and his family in your thoughts tonight and in the months ahead. No family should have to go through what they have the past few years. This is heartbreaking,” wrote Wilson Alexander from The Advocate.
Longtime Louisiana sports reporter Jacques Doucet added, “I love Kevin Faulk. I don”t understand why things like this happen but please pray for him and his family at this very trying time. For all the amazing LSU football memories he gave us, he is far beyond a football legend. Kevin is an amazing person and human being.”
Another supporter expressed, “Pray for Kevin Faulk and his family. He”s as good, kind, and humble of a man as I know. He is always a family-first guy and my heart is crushed for all of the Faulk family tonight. Please pray for the Faulks tonight. Hug your people.”
Kevin Faulk is recognized as a legend at LSU and a member of the College Football Hall of Fame. He enjoyed a successful professional career, securing three Super Bowl titles with the New England Patriots over his 13 years in the league.
