Westbrook High School Football Team Reaches Class B South Championship

The Westbrook High School football team is set to compete against Kennebunk in the Class B South championship game on Friday, November 14. This highly anticipated matchup will take place at Olmstead Field in Westbrook, located at 125 Stroudwater Street, starting at 6 PM.

In their semifinal game on November 7, the top-seeded Blue Blazes secured a narrow victory over Marshwood with a score of 15-12. Key player Gio Staples made a crucial 5-yard scramble in the final moments of the game, helping to seal the win for his team.

Fans planning to attend the championship game should be aware that parking will be limited on Vocational Drive, as announced by the Westbrook Police Department. Officers will be on hand to assist attendees with parking, and they advise arriving early to avoid any issues. Any vehicles parked in unauthorized areas will be towed at the owner”s expense.

In addition to the football team”s success, the Westbrook High School marching band and color guard recently achieved remarkable recognition by winning first place at the New England Scholastic Band Association championships.
