Position Battles to Watch
As training camp approaches, the most significant competition on offense appears to be at left guard, where Andrew Vorhees and Emery Jones Jr. will vie for the starting position. General manager Eric DeCosta indicated that he views Jones as a potential starter. Additionally, John Simpson is expected to be another starter, meaning this battle will be critical as the Ravens finalize their lineup.
Another intriguing competition is at center, where Danny Pinter and Corey Bullock will contend for the role left vacant by Tyler Linderbaum. A center is likely to be selected in the 2026 NFL Draft, which could add further excitement to this position fight.
On the defensive side, keep an eye on the edge rusher position between Mike Green and Tavius Robinson. Although Green was a second-round pick in 2025, Robinson showed promise as one of the top pass rushers early last season before an injury sidelined him.
Roster Bubble Candidates
Right guard Jared Penning faces an uphill battle to secure a spot on the roster, especially with the addition of Jovaugh Gwyn, who brings versatility and familiarity with the coaching staff from their time together with the Atlanta Falcons. Bullock may also find himself on the roster bubble after the signing of Pinter.
Two cornerbacks, Robert Longerbeam and Marquise Robinson, are also in a precarious situation. Both lack regular-season experience, making special teams performance crucial for their chances of making the final roster. With limited spots available, they will need to impress during training camp.
