Lamar Jackson Linked to Dolphins and Raiders in Trade Speculation

The future of Lamar Jackson with the Baltimore Ravens is in question as trade rumors intensify. Despite high expectations, the Ravens” season has not unfolded as anticipated, largely due to Jackson”s ongoing injury struggles. He has participated in 12 of the team”s 15 games this season, but his performance has notably declined compared to previous years.

As discussions about a possible trade gain traction, many speculate that the Ravens might explore offers for their star quarterback. While it would be surprising to see Baltimore part ways with Jackson, interest from other teams is starting to emerge.

According to Mike Preston of the Baltimore Sun, two teams have been identified as potential trade destinations: the Miami Dolphins and the Las Vegas Raiders. Preston suggested that the Ravens should consider trading Jackson, which could potentially yield them multiple first-round draft picks. “Jackson would love to play in Miami, where quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is no longer the starter, or possibly Las Vegas, where Tom Brady, a partial owner of the Raiders, has shown a fondness for him,” he noted.

Both the Dolphins and Raiders have faced challenges in recent seasons, and acquiring Jackson could significantly alter their trajectories. In the games he has played this season, Jackson has completed 63.7 percent of his passes for 2,311 yards, with 18 touchdowns and six interceptions, while also contributing 340 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

In 2024, Jackson delivered an MVP-caliber performance, finishing the season with 4,172 passing yards, 41 touchdowns, and only four interceptions, boasting a completion rate of 66.7 percent and adding 915 rushing yards with four touchdowns. As the offseason approaches, speculation surrounding the Ravens and Jackson is expected to intensify. While it remains unlikely that Baltimore will ultimately trade him, the conversation is certainly growing louder.
