However, reports suggest that the Philadelphia Eagles may need to reconsider their demands to facilitate a deal.
According to Andrew Callahan and Doug Kyed from the Boston Herald, the Patriots have shown interest in acquiring Brown. Yet, the front office reportedly perceives the Eagles” asking price as “unserious.” Within the NFL, there is a growing belief that Brown could indeed be traded, with speculation that Philadelphia”s compensation expectations might need to align more closely with market realities.
Many industry insiders propose that the potential trade package for Brown could resemble the deal the Seattle Seahawks secured last offseason when they traded star receiver DK Metcalf, receiving a second-round pick and a seventh-round pick from the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Brown has a noteworthy connection to the Patriots, having played under head coach Mike Vrabel for three seasons with the Tennessee Titans, where he flourished into a star. Their positive rapport has persisted since Brown”s trade to the Eagles in 2022, and there have been no signs of friction between the two. Additionally, Brown has expressed his long-standing admiration for the Patriots, having grown up as a fan and idolizing Tom Brady.
Despite reports of his frustrations regarding his role in the Eagles” offense, Brown put up impressive numbers in the 2025 season, totaling 78 receptions for 1,003 yards and three touchdowns. Throughout his NFL career, he has surpassed 1,000 receiving yards in six of his seven seasons. Although his output has declined slightly in recent years, he remains a productive player, even in a run-heavy scheme.
The prospect of catching passes from NFL MVP finalist Drake Maye may be enticing for Brown, but whether he ends up in New England largely hinges on the Eagles” willingness to adjust their asking price.
